THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME

Both nice and interesting things are happening in my work. There are many of them. Actually every day happens something worth mentioning.
It is a time of blooming flowers. There is one little boy in the kindergarden who is supplyig me with bouquets of dandylions. "Kristyna this is only for you" :-). Sweetie.
Another news is that one of the employees is training me in treating the autistic boy. It is mainly about supporting his mental development both by individual training and by treating him while he is playing with other kids. An interesting job indeed. I've trained him individually two times already. It was quite tough at the beginning. He was screaming, running out of the training room, weeping, wouldn't sit and listen. But after a (15 minute long) while he calmed down and started cooperating. It is a challenge. You can not show him your uncertainty, incl. manual contacts, when you guide him or if you don't want him doing something. Otherwise he gets stressed or panic. I also have to change tempo and volume of my voice very often so that he keeps his attention to the exercises. It is fascinating to think of what might be running in his mind, to think of the way he percieves the outer-world. When working with him, I often recall the "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" book...

..."And I didn't like all the people being near me and all the noise because it was too much information in my head and it made it hard to think, like there was shouting in my head. So I put my hands over my ears and I groaned very quietly"...
