JOTUNHEIMEN AND THE SJOA RIVER No 1

I spent this weekend at a "nydelig" place. A friend of mine works as a kayak guide at the Sjoa river. While he was doing an after-season maintenance, I went for a walk and took some snaps with my camera...(and so, here they are...)

Cranberries, Moss... Autumn is coming
He stays in a hut which is surrounded by wild nature and cute facility-buildings...I especially loved the kayaker's lounge - a cosy wooden room with a fireplace and a gorgeous view over the river. You can both see and hear the river from everywhere there.

We made a trip to the mountains above the Gudbrandsdalen (a valley)...

I took the night train back to Oslo. The train station is around 20 minutes drive from the spot. In order to get to the car, we had to walk on a wooden pavement over the river. This was fantastic. Total dark (really, no light pollution), the mountains, clear sky with stars and the wild sound of the river. Awesome!!!

Thanks for the nice time and for driving me to the train station in the night/early morning, J. :-)
